Suspected directories in Windows

Postby pierlugif80 » Fri Jun 13, 2008 11:18 pm

I've found more suspected directory on my pc. I've opened the Windows directory and I found this directory suspected:
c:\windows\logo1_.exe;
c:\windows\rundl132.dll;
c:\windows\rundll16.exe;
c:\windows\zts2.exe;
But this is not all. In the directory system32 I have:
c:\windows\system32\iifgfgf.dll;
c:\windows\system32\systems.txt;
c:\windows\system32\vcmgcd32.dll;
This is suspected, and I doesn't know this. Only some tell that this is a Rootkit. What is? How can I remove it?
This gives me problem with email and Internet.
Hoping in a reply.
Sincerally yours,
Fabbris Pierluigi

MWAV by default creates certain folders that has a name of the virus, so that a real virus by the same name cannot drop its copy in the same location. And this is the reason you saw these directories in the mentioned paths. These are not viruses rather folders created so as to avoid regeneration of virus.
