Scan & Renamed Files

Dear Mr Vikas

After Scanning the System some files are keep it renamed with ".mwti" extenstion.
Some people are asked me if your scanner is doing like that the renamed file is still having the virus content. Why it is like that? Just like Norton is keeping it seperately in quarantine folder. That is very easy to trace the file. Otherwise renamed files, which is the above extenstion,very difficult to find out. Please confirm me what is the reason behind it.
