We have facing this problem at one of our customer place, here is his feedback:
Have found the solution to the problem in my machine
An application called Netbooster which was installed by the Reliance Mobile Internet Setup Kit was creating this hindrance.
I removed it via add remove and my updates are working fine.
Do update this in your eScan FAQs that Netbooster creates issues while network updates and auto updates to the client machine via the server.
