Please follow below steps to disable the Desktop.ini cache.

1. Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK.
2. Locate and then click the following registry subkey: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\policies\Explorer
3. In the right pane of Registry Editor, right-click then select add DWORD value DesktopIniCache.
4. In the Edit DWORD Value dialog box, type 0 under Value data, and then click OK.
5. Navigate to and delete these subkeys:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\dllFile\Shell
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\dllFile\ShellEx
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\dllFile\ScriptEngine
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\dllFile\ScriptHostEncode
6. Exit the Registry Editor.
7. Restart the computer.

Kindly update the status.
