escan server with multiple IP address - VPN

Hello everybody. I'm new to escan and currently deploying on my LAN. However, I've also planned to deploy on my WAN via the VPN. Here is the problem. All my clients in LAN will point to the VPN IP when I turn on the VPN on the same server.
Here's a bit more explanation:
Without VPN:
escan server LAN IP: 10.1.0.8
All the LAN clients point to 10.1.0.8:3333
Turn on OpenVPN on the escan server:
escan server LAN IP: 10.1.0.8
escan server OpenVPN IP: 10.8.4.1
After a few minutes, all my LAN clients will start to point to 10.8.4.1:3333 for updates. Since the OpenVPN is for my external machines, my LAN clients can no longer find the escan server for any updates.
Is there anyway around this or do I have to setup 2 escan servers, one for VPN and one for LAN? Thank you.
