Using Mailscan 5.5a on our mail server and finding it us using Far too much hard drive space storing Logs, Ham and Spam.
Is there anyway in which we can limit these items stored (say only the last two weeks), or even change the location in which they are stored?

Open Mailscan Administrator / WebAdmin
Browse to Content/Spam Control -> Anti Spam Configuration ->
In there you will find an option
No Of Days To Keep Ham And Spam Mails :
Set it to number of days you want to keep the mails. Thus you could save your space on hard drive.

Unless that is an updater that will update the core program while keeping all the settings and domains I cannot update as there is a lot of business email processed on this sever and cannot be lost..

Hello Sym,
You can upgrade to latest version.....During the installation you will be prompted whether to retain the existing settings of Mailscan...you need to click on Yes.
Once the installation is complete, it is advisable to restart once.
