Solution : Download the patch
"winsockxpfix" from the link below & run it in your system.

http://old.www.iup.edu/house/resnet/WinsockXPFix.exe
If the same problem persist. Then copy the file
“tcpip.sys” from the location
“C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers” from any working system & paste it into same location of problematic system & run the "winsockxpfix" again.
NOTE : Please note down the IP address before running the "winsockxpfix"

Its giving error with Windows 2003 Standard. Any other soution?

If eScan is installed you can use winsbak2.reg saved in %windir% Directory to restore winsock layer.

Also check if mswsock.dll file is present in the C:\windows\system32 folder. If not paste mswsock.dll file from another machine to the problematic machine.

copy "mswsock.dll" file from c:\windows\system32 folder another good machine and pest it in the same c:\windows\system32 folder and restart the pc once.
