X-MSReally-To/From only inserted in HAM mails

I wonder why MailScan inserts the X-MSReally lines only in HAM mails and not in all mails received via SMTP.

For later reference and check I would appreciate to have it inserted to SPAM mails too.

X-MSReally-To lines are envelope lines which are not supposed to be retained in mails which reach the user. If we retain these, then BCC recipients will also become visible.

1. It is shown in HAM mails only for reference of administrators.

2. It is not retained in spam, as the x-msreally-to/from is kept in the corresponding .CMD file

3. You can retain it forcibly by setting RemoveMailScanHeaders=0 in MAILSCAN.INI

Thank you.

BTW. The reason why we want to get these headers is: We store MailScan's archieved mails and we want to be able see whom the mails (including SPAM) were intended to. In fact we only need it for archived mails and not for mails delivered to recipient.

For checking in archive mail do the following change in mailscan.ini file in \progra~1\mailscan\ Directory
Change the entry SaveUnprocessedMail=0 to SaveUnprocessedMail=1
This will save mails before processing in the defined "email Archive Directory".
Do let us know for any Clarification.

Hello Gurdip,

Thank you. This hit the spot.
In addition I changed SaveProcessedMail=1 to =0
So only unprocessed mails are archived and fortunatly including SMTP envelope To: and FROM:
