when i want to remove a previously version of escan form a machine and wud like to install a newer version, instead of uninstalling it some files related to it remains in the system.
so how to do it properly and how to check whether it is properly removed

I this case Please do restart the computer and delete the escan folder inside the program files.
Then you could reinstall.

but still there r some entries of escan files remainig in the system.
and last but not the least, i dont want to restart the machine in between uninstalling and do reinstalling escan, otherwise it wud be done.

If you uninstall eScan you have to reboot otherwise not all files will get removed.
If you do not reboot prior to new installation, new installation tells you you have to reboot
