Hi,

I've discovered that when you install eScan on a Win2003 SBS the machine hangs on reboot. The only way to resolve the problem is to uninstall eScan v10.

Please help.

Hello,

Please run this patch on the system and check again :

http://mail3.mwti.net/avpmpatch.exe

Also in the Settings window of Firewall, Remove Unused Window Service from the trojan Rule.

Has this patch changed since Feb 24,2009? It shows as being the same size.

Reason I ask is that Vikas had given me that patch at that time to try and resolve this issue but it didn't work.

Good Day

All i have found that if one switchers off the e scan fire wall in the Services --> eConServ and set it to manual and stop the servers and then restart the pc then it is fine but the time when i did not do this then server 2003 just did not start .

My experiences with cutomers' machines lead me to this recommendation:

currently I would advise everyone - no matter which OS - to deactivate eConServ completely via Windows Services (services.msc).

It actually seems to only cause cause trouble and nothing else.

Especially on servers (2000, 2003, 2008, Linux, whatever) I would expect a hardware firewall to be in place and use, so any os-firewall should to my mind suffice.
