Hello,

With reference to your query, in case the desktop icons have been hidden by the infection from the memory card , you can use the /unhideallfiles parameter to scan the particular folder (in this case the desktop folder)
For this , go to start menu>>run and type 'cmd' and press enter
In the command prompt window, type the following commands sequentially (assuming escan installed in c:\programfiles\escan folder)
cd\
cd progra~1
cd escan
mwavscan.com /explorer /unhideallfiles
(For any other drive letter , type 'drive letter:' eg. d: or e: and follow the above commands)
This will open the scanning window, use it to scan the desktop folder only using the browse option.
This will unhide all files/folders from the desktop folder as well as restore certain default windows settings.
