Automatic-Virus-Check on specific client folders

Postby Henning » Tue Nov 17, 2009 3:42 pm

Hi,

I'd like to plan a Scan through EMC-policy on specific folders of clients. Problem: if there's no such folder-name on the server, I'm not able to mark it for scanning. Example: I'd like to scan c:\temp on the client - but if this folder is not on the server, I'm not able to browse for it / select it. I'm only able to check the whole harddisk on the client...

using v10.0.1009.568

Regards,
Henning

Hi Henning,

You will need to create a dummy folder on the eScan server (C:\temp) so that you will be able to deploy the policy.

As the folder structure may differ in both machines ,we have not given the option to schedule generalized patch scanning scheduler.

Hi Shrinivas,

what about implementing a text-field / list, where I can setup the path manually? I'd be able to type "%windir%\system32", for example. This would be helpful.

Henning
