DOS scan

Postby wabenzi » Tue Oct 13, 2009 6:23 pm

In the initial stage, when eScan was at version 9, it had the dos command scanning option, which was very helpful, but, ever since the version 10 came, the AVP folder is missing and the dos scanning option is no more, kindly please explain to me why and also, if it is still running, where can i locate it?? It is very important you bring the dos scanning back, sometimes a virus can so stubborn that, it wouldn't give u the option to scan with MWAV or ODS and the best option is the dos scanner, especially in the safe mode.

Hoping my request will be seen to...
Thank you,

Hello,
As per your query pls note that, we do still have the dos scanning facility. To do the same pls go to Command Prompt and then type cd %temp%,
And the command for scanning will be:
bdc.exe /dis /fixed /list %1

Note: Fixed stands for all drives, if u want to scan only a selective drive then pls type the drive letter.

Hope the above will help you out with your query.
